Watercolor Drawings
I recently got on a Raymond Carver kick. I found a copy of his book of short stories "What We Talk About When We Talk About Love" and in it, his short story ,"Tell the Women We're Going", just blew me away.
The story is haunting and the writing is brilliant.
It stayed in my head for days and I ended up drawing the characters from my imagination and placing them in a landscape along with their '68 Chevy Hardtop.
This is an original painting using pen and ink, watercolor and colored pencils. The image measures 14" X 17" , and it has been rendered on a very heavy sheet of 18" X 21" Magnani Watercolor paper.
