"Old and secret, she had entered from a morning world, maybe a messenger" James Joyce's "Ulysses"
Silk of the Kine
Oil based ink on Arches 88
Plate: 12" X 13" Paper: 15" X 16"

"Silk of the Kine"is an old Irish expression used to describe a poor old woman. The print depicts an opening scene in Ulysees when an old woman brings in a fresh jug of milk for the morning tea. It is the first print I made for an ongoing series of prints I am working on depicting different scenes from my favorite novel of all time, James Joyce's "Ulysses".
I am thrilled that an edition of this print is in the collection of The Dublin Writers Museum.
